One Lucky Couple Will Win Pure Maine Wedding for up to 200 Guests. Contestants Range from Greater Portland to Honolulu; Grooms-to-be Include Cancer Survivor and Solider in Iraq. Deadline for Entries September 9, 2008

Sebasco Estates, ME (PRWEB) September 4, 2008 — Sebasco Harbor Resort, a vacation destination of over 550 acres on the rocky mid-coast of Maine, today announced the final call for entries to the Pure Maine Wedding Giveaway. In the Giveaway, one lucky bride- and groom-to-be will win a destination wedding for up to 200 guests in 2009. The deadline for video entries is September 9, 2008. Winners will be announced in October 2008 and the Pure Maine Wedding will take place in 2009.

“So far, the video entries have been very creative and heart-felt, said Bob Smith, proud proprietor and official ‘Lighthouse Keeper’ at Sebasco Harbor Resort. “I’m just thrilled that we’ll be able to give one of these young couples the Pure Maine wedding of their dreams. Sebasco has long been a place where people fall in love, get married, fall in love again, and come back for generations.”

To date, video entries have been received from soon-to-be brides and grooms from as close as Greater Portland to as far away as Honolulu. Homemade costumes, artistic sets, and even “Brady Brunch” style graphics and music were employed to make the video entries stand out. While some contestants are originally from Maine and have enjoyed the state’s stunning beauty and diverse recreational offerings since childhood, others have traveled from distances, such as Wisconsin, Washington, D.C., and New York, to experience Pure Maine. The entries range from humorous but heart-felt to emotional and poignant.

One groom is currently deployed by the Navy in Iraq and hopes to be returning this November, while another is closing in on his battle with cancer. All contestants explain in their videos why it would be meaningful to have their special day at Sebasco Harbor Resort.

The winners of the Pure Maine Wedding Giveaway will receive a destination wedding at Sebasco Harbor Resort, including ceremony site, a reception for up to 200 of their friends and family, overnight accommodations and spa services for the bride and groom, a golf outing for the wedding party and a rehearsal celebration sunset cruise for up to 24 people aboard Sebasco’s touring boat, The Ruth. Sebasco Harbor Resort is giving away this up to $25,000 wedding package for free.

Interested couples must submit a brief video essay introducing who they are, how they met, and why they would like to win a Pure Maine Wedding. Winners will be chosen based on entrants’ stories and their desire to experience Pure Maine.
