Barbizon Modeling Announces the Winner of its Photo Shoot Contest with a Delia’s Editor

Barbizon, the leading Modeling and Acting Center, recently announced the winner of its 2008 Photo Shoot Contest with a Delia’s Editor. What happens when a typical fourteen years old girl enters a photo shoot contest and wins? She gets the experience of a lifetime!

Coral Springs, FL (PRWEB) September 6, 2008 — Geena Grass, a freshman at Viera High School in Melbourne, Florida, was chosen as this year’s winner of the Barbizon Modeling / Delia’s Photo Shoot Contest. “From the time that I received the call from Barbizon through the actual photo shoot, it was a dream come true. I didn’t think I was going to win.” Her mom, Julie Grass: “It’s been quite exciting. I think we’ve pretty much told everybody that we were coming to New York for the contest and it’s been a flurry of activity in our house ever since.”

Geena and her mom were flown all expenses paid to New York City where Geena enjoyed supermodel treatment from a team of stylists. One look and it was easy to see why Geena was chosen as the winner. Believe it or not, this was her first time in front of the camera. Of course, the fashion capitol of the world is the perfect inspiration. Julie Grass: “The experience since we’ve been here has been quite remarkable. We’ve been having a great time. It’s been very exciting.”

In Geena’s free time she enjoys springboard diving, competitive dance, reading her favorite Twilight series, spending time with friends, and rescuing animals. Her future inspiration is to work in the arts.

The Barbizon Modeling Photo Shoot Contest occurs annually in New York City. Each shoot is directed by one of our partners in the fashion field.    

So what’s Geena’s advice to those wondering why not me? “This was a once in a lifetime experience and I am very thankful for this opportunity. You don’t get given chances everyday and it’s not everyday you get to be a model. You have to enter this contest because it could be you!”
